DEG is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Engineer to support our sales and service delivery teams. The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Engineer works directly with clients and DEG teammates to scope and align business strategies to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform. The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Engineer serves as a subject matter expert on the capabilities of Marketing Cloud to external as well as internal clients helping to craft and steer opportunities and solutions.

  • Leading and facilitating client discovery sessions and technical deep-dives
  • Pitching new and existing clients on the features and capabilities of both the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform and DEG
  • Presenting proposed solutions to project stakeholders and partners
  • Designing and documenting solutions for technical and non-technical consumers
  • Estimating and sizing projects with delivery teams
  • Implementing proofs-of-concepts to validate requirements and confirm feasibility
  • Demoing and showcasing platform functionality and DEG enhancements
  • Cataloging DEG solutions for reuse and sharing in the form of case studies
  • Collaborating with client teams and 3rd parties on integration approaches and requirements



  • B.S. Computer Science, similar degree, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in comparable role working with marketing technologies (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot, Eloqua, Responsys, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Cheetahmail)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on presentations and technical documentation
  • Experience working directly with clients and customers in formal and enterprise business environments
  • Proficient in email marketing industry best practices
  • Broader background in software development, systems design, and implementation processes
  • Experience designing scalable solutions
  • Preferred cross-cloud and general Salesforce experience
  • Requires up to 30% travel
  • Will consider remote candidates
