Salesforce Commerce Cloud Engineer

 

DEG, a Magento Gold Partner and Salesforce Gold Consulting Partner, is seeking a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Engineer with experience implementing solutions with Salesforce Commerce Cloud for a full-time position leading eCommerce project development for a diverse group of interesting companies. Applicants must have at least 3-5 years demonstrated experience building database-driven web-based applications. In addition, this individual must have basic project management skills and be able to contribute meaningfully to client meetings, deliverables and proposals.

Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing the project from design and functional specifications. Depending on the project, this may include the following responsibilities:

  • Implement business logic and integration services as defined by the client and BA
  • Implement data access layer, database model and logic
  • Perform unit testing, both automated and manual, of business logic and behavior to confirm proper implementation of requirements and quality execution
  • Document work
  • Estimate development tasks during discovery, scoping, planning and development stages
  • Communicate technical dependencies, blocks and risks to project stakeholders and management
  • Interact with clients and project leads to provide technical direction and recommendations
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project leads on technical decisions
  • Learn and adhere to company coding standards and conventions
  • Provide valuable written feedback on peers and evaluation of team performance
  • Follow project level design decisions and conventions
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Work with management and sales team to develop the technical component of proposals including project estimates
  • Assist sales team with presentations on an as-needed basis
  • May configure and deploy projects to various hosting environments for review
  • Provide exploratory and budget estimates as well as feasibility assessments
  • May perform basic server administration and configuration of development and hosting environments

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Commerce Cloud project implementation experience
  • Commerce Cloud CIP Certification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team-orientation
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Fast-learner and self-starter
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with release/package management on a full implementation project
    • Experience with version control systems, preferably git
    • System administration experience installing and configuring production hosting servers
    • BS Degree in Computer Science or related field
