Marketing Cloud Specialist

The Marketing Cloud Specialist focuses on the daily operations needed to successfully run a client's email marketing and SMS program.  The successful Marketing Cloud Specialist will create client specific documentation, complete basic reporting, and trouble shoot client issues.  This role is also responsible for assisting the program management teams with campaign deployment and basic platform support needs.

  • Provide a first level of support to email marketing clients.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Complete rigorous Quality Assurance checks on every change made within a client’s account.
  • Utilize Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), Excel and/or Access to modify and update subscriber lists and create segmentation groups.
  • Collaborate and contribute ideas at marketing planning meetings.
  • Track hours, create charge sheets and invoices for accurate billing of time and resources.
  • Develop and document efficiencies in current and future processes.


  • Four year college degree or equivalent course work.
  • Six months or more experience with an Email Service Provider (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), Cheetah Mail, SilverPop, Responsys, Listrak, Lyris, Vertical Response, etc.) is preferred. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) is a plus
  • Experience with basic HTML (For example, creating tables, links, and bolding).
  • Demonstrated writing/communication, interpersonal and client relationship skills.
  • Proven record for problem resolution and successful completion of complex projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Access, Visio and Project are a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and adeptly multi-task and prioritize a high volume of projects and tasks at one time.
  • Ability to work with diverse departments across an organization.
  • Excellent logical reasoning and analytical skills to effectively assess and communicate metrics.
  • Passionate about the digital landscape with desire for continuous learning and advancement.
  • Team player
  • Prefer agency experience.
